Roof truss and interior fittings:

Now I would like to show you (step by step) how to make an "interior extension" or roof truss with a house model.

This should be just one example, as everyone naturally has their own ideas and a very personal taste. In addition, there are no limits to imagination and creativity here.

For this we need the following tools and materials:

- All-purpose glue

- Cutter or model construction knives

- a small side cutter

- a geo-triangle

- another Lenial

- some fine sanding paper

- Balsa wood in different dimensions

I always use balsa wood as it is very easy to process and glue, and it is also very easy to paint.

Step 1: The first "beams" are glued in for the floors or ceilings. However, the height of the one-storey floors should usually be about the same. The side "beams" can be broken off on the rear-facing side, as it is a ruin.

Step 2: The ceilings can be glued in, for this I use 2mm thick balsa wood strips. Here, too, some "damage" may be attached.

Step 3: Now the longitudinal beams are glued in.

Step 4: The floor planks now come to the longitudinal beams in the transverse direction. The ceilings and floors are already ready.

Step 5: In the next section, the window frames are made. First of all, we measure the window openings. Now let's create the window frames. Here, too, there are no limits to creativity. It is only important that the frames also fit into the window openings.

The front door, or at least the frame, is already in place. How the glass enters the windows and doors is shown in a later "Step by Step".

Step 6: Now we will put the roof on the house. First we glue the outer roof beams.

Now we glued the transverse beam and prepared the remaining roof beams. These are provided with notches so that they can be fitted into the crossbar.

Step 7: Here I prepare the "roof slats", since I do not have these small dimensions for the roof slats at hand, I create them from a wider profile.

Now the distances are marked on the outer beams, where the roof slats are to be glued later.

Step 8: First I stick one of the upper roof slats. So I have an adhesive point for the remaining roof beams. If the other slats can be glued.

Running upwards, damage to the latt can also be attached. So, and with that we could already celebrate topping-out ceremony.

The next "Step by Step" is about painting and aging, and the roofer is also used.

Until then, all the best and have fun building.
